I’ve always bought the Plascon Spaces publication, so was chuffed to receive a nifty gift pack from the team at Plascon with a copy of the mag and details of their 2013 Colour Forecast, as well as sexy canvas print by Warren Lewis :)
I know I bleat on and on about how much I like everything to be white, white, white, but I do actually like colour too. I’m particulary fond of bright bursts of colour that create a focal point in a room, or one wall painted to contrast with the rest and set a particular mood.
The 2013 Colour Forecast theme is ‘Balance’ and the colours and emotions are captured in 4 palettes – Simplicity, Contrast, Pause and Dare. Go have a squizz at the forecast online.
I’m almost ready to start choosing paint colours for the Ask Ashe Abode – I’m leaning towards the simplicity palette, but think I need to make space for a few of the contrast palette colours, specifically the golden daffodil and fuscia fuzz – watch this space!
