Another cool store has opened in Woodstock, Cape Town and I’ll definitely be visiting when I’m there next.
C20 Galerie is owned by Emma de Crespigny who has recently relocated from New York to Cape Town and the interiors destination store seamlessly blends old and new – from original 20th Century pieces to handcrafted interpretations of the classics.
Emma has a Masters in History of Decorative Art and Design from Parsons and in conjunction with the prestigious Cooper Hewitt Design Museum in New York, is an expert collector and producer of a wide range of desirable interior objet, ranging from furniture to glassware.
Her new store functions as both shop and showroom, targeting architects, interior designers and collectors, as well as members of the public. C20 Galerie also boasts an on-site collection of books and original catalogues, allowing collectors and design enthusiasts access to a wide array of products, both antique and made-to-order, such as Art Deco wallpaper, custom upholstery, lighting and ceramics.
The galerie is open weekdays and by appointment.
