I recently experienced the most horrendous service at the Aquaspa at the Square Boutique Hotel . After booking by telephone, I was asked to pay a deposit for the treatment. I then received an email from the spa dated with the day of the treatment and their banking details, which I then paid the deposit into.
Only to then arrive for the booking which they had made on the totally wrong day and there was no space to accommodate me. The only reason I had even booked at the Aquaspa was because it was inside the Square Boutique Hotel, which I had booked to stay at over Valentine’s night. The only reason I booked into the hotel was because it had a spa!
So you can imagine just how annoying it was to be inconvenienced in this way by truly shoddy service. It then took them 9 DAYS to refund my money! I will never frequent this hotel or spa ever again and am telling everyone just how bad their service is – how can you request a deposit for a booking and then have the nerve to get it wrong!? The way they then handled the refund was ridiculous – I had to email them 3 times to get it back. Truly terrible service.

Since writing this post I received an email from the General Manager at The Square Boutique Hotel – Rekha Sohun – apologising and requesting my number to contact me. I replied with my details. To date I have not received a call.
