Chefs who Share – the ART of Giving in Cape Town

I wish I was in Cape Town to go to this – am sure the food will be amazing and it’s for a great cause.

If you’re there in September, then show your support at ‘Chefs who Share – the ART of Giving’, which takes place in the City Hall on Thursday 10th September 2015. It’s the 3rd annual event which was created in 2013 to raise funds for youth development in SA. This year, 14 chefs will cater for 252 guests, along with a group of acclaimed sommeliers to make up 7 teams. There’ll be a strong focus on South African wines and ingredients and the event will again be MC’d by Gerry Elsdon and Jeremy Mansfield.
Along with the customary auction which includes art & once-off experiences, this year’s event also sees 7 young chefs invited to cook alongside their experienced peers, with one promising young chef winning a trip to Europe to cook in a Michelin-starred restaurant on the night.

100% of the proceeds raised at the event are donated to 2 charities:
MAD Leadership Foundation & the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.

Limited tickets are available now:
As there are just 252 seats available, they’re in high demand. They are priced at R3000 per person and tables seat 12 guests each.
