Durban’s first Burger Fest

This week is not the week to be on diet, no sirree…
The team from The Morning Trade bring you Burgerfest this Thursday, from 5pm at The Plant on Station Drive.
Firstly, The Plant is the new name for the venue which hosts The Morning Trade Market – they’ve spiffied up the outside wall and it now sports a very on trend black, with a funky logo:

Secondly, Burgerfest aims to assemble the best burgers on offer in Durbs – and I for one am delighted.
There’s been so much hype around smashburgers and ordering your food yourself off a list, blah blah blah – well I tried Rocomamas and I hated it – everything from the garish decor and loud music which gave me indigestion, to the feeling that I was being duped in an adult version of Spur – it was not my vibe and I will not be back.

Burgerfest coincides with International Burger Day on Thursday and from the looks of the facebook page, some mighty fine burger fare is going to be on offer, with veggie lovers also catered for. And I saw a yummy version of a chip made from pap too – should be interesting.
