The Birdcage

You might have seen this event advertised on facebook and wondered what it was all about. Well I’ve just got the lowdown and it is something you do not want to miss if you are in Durban on 28th May.

The Daily News 2000 race takes place at Greyville Racecourse and The Birdcage event will be held in the Classic Room & the Chairman’s Suite from 1pm. Over 250 ladies will be treated to fine food & champagne, as well as pamper sessions, all while they are able to shop an exclusive range of brands from a luxury wardrobe and still bet on the horse racing!

Rose Gold is the theme and everything from the décor to food and champagne will fit the theme, giving an on-trend nod to the colour combo of the moment.

The ticket price includes entrance, finger snacks and canapés served throughout the day, as well as trays of complimentary champagne to keep the mood light and fun, plus 2 complimentary drinks from the cocktail bar. The event will serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as craft options and cash and Zapper will be accepted for any purchases.

Whiskey/Wine tasting and chocolate pairings, as well as rich brewed coffee will also be available, plus a salon area for hair, nail and makeup touch ups and advice from stylists and personal shoppers. But the best part is the goodie bag each lady will receive – full of amazing treats from each sponsor at the event and throughout the afternoon, the most incredible prizes will be given away including some luxury stays at some pretty swish places.
