Well it is the most wonderful time of the year after all, so I’m spoiling you again!
The lovely ladies at Josephine Clothing have just launched their online store and to celebrate are giving one of my readers their choice of either the Penny Shift or the Swing Dress, in the size and colour of their choice. But first, a little bit about this homegrown Durban brand.
The Josephine adventure began in 2009, when Tarryn Josephine Buttery started designing a clothing range. Fast forward 3 years and with a new family to take care of, her sister-in-law, Ally Shepherd, joined the business, after a stint in India and between them, they now run Josephine Clothing. Everything from sourcing the beautiful fabrics, to designing the garments based on trends, or what their own wardrobes call for, to managing the process with a local CMT is managed by them.
Between them, they have 5 children – Tarryn has 3 boys and Ally has 2 girls – so this really is a lovely local homegrown brand, run by two awesome Durban mums. You’ll find them at I Heart Market every month, but it’s the launch of their online store which will put them at the fingertips of a much wider audience.
I always bleat on about supporting local, so do your bit and have a squizz at their website and online store – their range includes an extensive choice of dresses, with shoes and accessories in the pipeline.
