I have some incredibly talented friends and count myself very lucky to be surrounded by so many creative people. Cassandra is a new friend, she joined the first Hooray Workshop, which I spoke at and we bonded over our mutual love of gin ;)

But it was when she rebranded her business last year and I worked with her on communicating her launch and refining her product offering that I really became aware of just how passionate she is about her craft. After a few years spent in Bloemfontein after a move from Cape Town, she ended up in Durban with her husband, where she now runs her small business, Elysian Creative.

Elysian means paradisal or heavenly and it perfectly sums up what she does each day and that is to give people heavenly little memories of the special occasions in their lives. She designs photograph books, predominantly of weddings, calling some of SA’s top photographer’s clients, but her service now extends to the public. But these are not just any old photo books, your memories can be turned into the most beautiful keepsake with a hard cover, including bespoke finishing and the option to personalise with a design of your choice – coffee table book heaven!

What I love even more than the albums she creates though, are the carefully curated range of complimentary products which she has added to her offering, including memory boxes, photo blocks, memory sticks, tote bags, leather pouches and sleeves, AND these can all also be personalised!
Cassandra has a flipping nifty laser etching machine so anything you want can be lasered onto your products – these are the cute bags she made for our recent Hooray Woorkshop – how cute!!!
