Giveaway : Metacraft Location Art

I promised some giveways as part of my turning ten celebrations, and here is the first one. Whilst this prize is pretty awesome, what’s even better is the story behind this business and the fact that it’s a small South African brand making keeping your memories cool.

I was first introduced to Metacraft Location Art by Karen from Lovilee – she shared the location art piece that she had done for her home by them and I was immediately intrigued. Fast forward a year or so and I am now the proud owner of my very own piece of location art, which has very special meaning.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I eloped with my husband and we had a very low key ceremony at home on our ‘wedding day’ – honestly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made! We got married on our front verandah, in our first home together with just 2 witnesses and my husband’s kids, so this house will always be a pretty special place.

It was the perfect place to commemorate with location art and that’s why I just love the whole concept of what Metacraft have put together. Their posters and bus blinds capture any location using its geographic information which includes the coordinates, height above sea level and your names, plus some space for personal details if you want to customise it further.

When the bus blind I customised with Anthony from Metacraft arrived, I was blown away – it was perfect! Everything from the minute I filled in the details I wanted on the website, to the personal touch of a call from him to check I was happy with the print proof was so smooth and the cost includes free delivery to your nearest Postnet – plus it was packaged perfectly to avoid any scratches or dings.

Now it’s hanging in our entrance hall, just near the verandah we got married on, above our wedding present from my godmother – a beautiful old school library card cabinet – making this the perfect sentimental corner of our home :)
