You might have seen on my social media channels that I’m hosting a #WalkMyCity instawalk in collaboration with Hi-tec on Saturday 2nd September.
The response has been amazing so far – thank you!
If you’d still like to get in on the action, here are the details:
We’ll be cruising the streets of Morningside and Windermere, stopping at some incredible city vantage points, as well as supporting local at some of our city’s greatest coffee shops.
DATE: SATURDAY 2 SEPTEMBER 2017 AT 9AM
START POINT:
Arrive at The Cube on Innes Road between 8:30am and 9:00am.
This is a great spot to take photos of the city and Secret Sunrise will have taken place there that morning, so if anyone wants to join in, please do so.
We start walking at 9am sharp.
ROUTE:
Walking to Charlie’s Cafe opposite Mitchell Park for refreshments – vida e caffè and Mark gold cafe are on the same corner, so everyone can make their own choice ;)
Then into Jameson Park to take more pics.
From there we’ll head down Florida Road to Love Coffee in Holden Avenue. This is a small local cafe so please have cash or Zapper!
We’ll then walk through to Montpelier Road and down that to Gordon Road, congregating at the Florida Rd UIP opposite SPIGA. There are more great pic opportunities here.
We’ll make our way down Florida Road all the way to City Roast – again this is small and local, so please be considerate and have cash or zapper.
END POINT:
Getting back to our cars at this point – there will be a car parked here to take anyone back to The Cube who doesn’t want to continue walking further – it’s a double cab with bin space, so can do 2 trips.
For the rest, we’ll walk along Windermere Road to the Rosetta Road intersection and up the hill to the Cube. If you don’t want to walk up the last hill, I suggest you park your cars at the bottom of the Cube when you arrive at the start and not on Innes Road ;)
The hashtag for the day is #WalkMyCity and you’ll need to tag Ask Ashe and Hi-Tec in your pics on FB or insta to qualify to win some cool prizes!
PLEASE RSVP:
If you’re keen to join us, email nicola@askashe.com to RSVP by no later than Tues 29 August.
All welcome, this is not a speed walk, but rather a leisurely stroll to take in the sights and walk your city!
Numbers are limited, as I don’t want to look like the pied piper, so please email ASAP.
