At the beginning of the year I inadvertently met George W. Stone when he stumbled into my office alongside Freedom Cafe in Durban. George is the Editor-at-Large for National Geographic Traveler and we soon got chatting about Durban and all it has to offer tourists and residents alike.
I had just recently written this article on Durban so I rattled off all the places I would recommend to an out-of-towner and put him in touch with Dane Forman at BESETdurban for a proper tour of our city.
George was in town with photographer Krista Rossow to shoot and document a story on Durban & KZN, which has just appeared in the May 2015 issue of National Geographic Traveler and I am so stoked to see our city in such an acclaimed publication!
Kudos to the guys at BESETdurban for showing them the real Durban – now Durbanites, get behind your city and let’s show the rest of SA how cool we really are :)
