I’m finally getting over losing the flat I thought I bought and am no longer experiencing pangs of grief when I see beautiful white interiors, so it’s time to start sharing again.
I’ve also made a new friend, with Marli at Associated Magazines and am ecstatic that I will now be able to share the fabuolus interiors which are featured in House & Leisure Magazine each month (I love the blogosphere!)
So first up is this magnificent home on Clifton Beach, Cape Town which was featured in the March 2010 issue. You just want to dive into these pics, grab a cocktail and relax your butt off in this place – sheer serenity.
Stephen Rich is the owner and interior designer of this beach bungalow and I just love the use of white everywhere (I would!), the subtle differences in white tones are breathtaking though and then the tiny little bursts of colour make my heart sing – the painting by Richard Scott, (I have a small crush on his stuff), the pale pink king proteas, the fleshy orchid leaves and then the sparkling blue pool on the deck – what more could you ask for!?
and I just love the quirky sculpture by Rossouw van der Walt – makes you want to join him, derobe and head for that ocean…
